Community Advisory Council

Our Community Advisory Council is comprised of Oregon Health Plan members and community leaders from Washington, Clackamas, and Multnomah Counties.

Health Share's Community Advisory Council (Council) is chartered by the Health Share of Oregon Board of Directors and helps Health Share remain responsive to consumer and community health needs and support our mission of partnering with communities to achieve ongoing transformation, health equity, and the best possible health for each individual. 

The Council’s main purpose is to oversee the development of our Community Health Needs Assessment, Community Health Improvement Plan, and serve as a liaison between the community and Health Share leadership.

Time Commitment 

The total time commitment for Council members is expected to range between 4-6 hours per month.

  • All members are expected to attend the monthly Council meetings and spend an additional 2-3 hours outside of the meetings carrying out Council-related duties including engaging members. 
  • Health Share supports consumer engagement on the Council by providing dinner, childcare, interpretation, and a stipend.
